Former CIA director, David Petraeus has gotten himself a teaching job after resigning from the CIA over having an extra-marital affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell.
Petraeus is going to work as a visiting professor at City University of New York come August at thier Macaulay Honors College. Petraeus resigned last year in November after his affair with Mrs. Broadwell came to light. In their statement, CUNY welcomed Dr. Petraeus who before joining the CIA was a four-star general who commanded U.S. forces during troop surges in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“CUNY is profoundly honored to welcome Dr. Petraeus to our academic community,” Dr. Matthew Goldstein, chancellor of CUNY, said in a statement. Before the affair, Petraeus was a potential contender for the White House.
Petraeus earned a doctorate from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs acknowledged the new job saying he identifies with CUNY’s large share of students with similar backgrounds.
