A mother at the Gulu Chief Magistrate has today withdrawn a case where her son allegedly sold off her five cows and other household properties.
Florence Aol told court that her son Moses Okot sold the cows in October 2012.
Aol also told court that she wanted the matter withdrawn from court because she is a christian with a responsibility to forgive during the lent period.
She urged her son to repent for all his sins as soon as he leaves the court room .
Joseph Angole, the Gulu Grade one magistrate while withdrawing the case questioned Okot why he sold his mother’s cows but he could not answer.
Angole told Okot to avoid causing problems to his parents.
The magistrate also appealed to the youth to respect their parents saying that it’s one of the 10 commandments in the bible.
