Police in Mukono have  rescued a woman from being lynched by the angry traders in a Mukono central market after being netted exchanging fake notes for goods.

The woman has  been identified as Anita Asiimwe a resident Kyengera a suburb of Kampala and has been arrested from Kame valley market with fake notes of shs. 20.000 amounting to shs.60.000.

Her arrest came after she bought goods from one of the Kiosks but the conscious trader caught her and started beating her up until police intervened.

The traders  told police that  she been circulating the fake notes by  purchasing  different merchandise to get legal ones.

The officer in charge of operations Mukono police station Resty Kansiime  said that many criminals intrude into Mukono to engage in different acts of crime.

Asiimwe is currently detained at Mukono police station as police carries out its investigations.
