Voting officially kicked off yesterday for the Africa Global DJ Awards 2013.

Nominees for the awards were announced on March 1st during a press conference at the Labadi Beach Hotel, in Accra, Ghana. However, voting officially kicked off on March 15th.

Among the nominees for this year are two Ugandan DJ’s, DJ Shiru and DJ Aluda. DJ Shiru was nominated in the Best Club DJ category while DJ Aluda was nominated for the Best East Africa DJ award.

Ugandan rapper, Navio is going to be among the hosts for the official even which is scheduled to take place on May 4th in Johannesburg, South Africa.
