The Venezuelan vice president, Nicolas Maduro is going to be sworn in today after the state burial of the late president, Hugo Chavez.
Mr. Chavez personally appointed Mr. Maduro to lead the country during the time he was still ill and even after his death. Today, he is going to be sworn is as Venezuela’s acting president until he calls for a general election in a period of thirty days.
Mr. Maduro is going to be sworn in hours after the burial of Mr. Chavez.
Mr. Chavez is going to be buried today in Venezuela and his body to be embalmed for eternity. Mourners have already started gathering for the burial and Latin America presidents have already started paying their respects to their fallen leader.
Mr. Chavez died on Tuesday this week at the age of 58 after a long battle with cancer.
