The illegal fishing control unit has arrested two men allegedly for dealing and selling under sized fish.

The suspects have been identified and Stephen Selugo and Richard Kalema both residents of Katosi landing site in Mukono district.

The head of operation Musa Kayondo has said that they were tipped of by their informers that the suspects were transporting under sized fish on  motor vehicles registration number UDW 815S and UDY 522M.

He has noted that the habit is on increase because of the inefficient leadership of the Beach Management Unit as most of them favor the under sized dealers.

The suspects are now under police custody and will be taken to court and be charged accordingly.
