Two people have been killed in Luweero after a night filled with heavy rains.

Of the two is an eight year old girl, Esther who was a resident of Kituza and a motor cyclist, Kikawa. Kikawa was driving when his motor cycle slid off the road, hit another car and got crashed. The passenger he was carry, Ngobi Juma is currently nursing wounds.

Heavy rains hit Luweero yesterday and destroyed millions worth of property.

Despite being a dry season, there are spells of rain which usually come with a lot of wind, hail and heavy rains in general.The rains last for as long as two hours and they occur at different intervals.

In Kampala, floods characterize the heavy rains which puts a stand the transport system.
