Remember the East African Bashment crew (EABC)? Yes, i am talking about that one which had hit songs like Fire Anthem, well, it is going to be revived.
The EABC members, Nazizi, Wyre and Bebe Cool are thinking about rejoining again since their split. The first gig they are going to have together will be on Easter Monday and they will be performing at the annual East African Carnival at Kiwatule Recreation Center.
During their time, the group opened the world to African music and got recognition Africa wide. They won the 2006 Pearl of Africa Music Awards – Song of the Year (“Fire Anthem”) and 2007 Channel O Music Video Awards – Video Of The Year (“Kube”). They were nominated in 2005 for the KORA Awards under the Best African Reggae/Ragga Act category, in 2006 for Kisima Music Awards under Best Ragga & Best Reggae and in 2008 for MTV Africa Music Awards under the Best Group category.
They decided to go their separate ways and went solo. In Uganda, Bebe Cool has not been so bad neither have his EABC counterparts.
Already feeling the chills already? Thought so too!
