Raila Odinga’s running mate, Kalonzo Musyoka has asked for the vote counting to be stopped.
Musyoka said that they no longer trust the tallying process. “We as a coalition take the position the national vote tallying process lacks integrity and has to be stopped,” said Musyoka. “We have evidence the results we are receiving have been doctored.”
At the moment, Odinga is behind lead, Uhuru Kenyatta. Authorities said on Wednesday the outcome would not be compromised by the failure of electronic counting technology that has left Kenyans in the dark about the result.
The seemingly innocent comments might lead to post-election violence. The IEBC promises the results will be released tomorrow, Friday 8th March.
