Raila Odinga won the Kenya elections in Uganda with a 42% win beating his closest opposition, Uhuru Kenyatta who is at this time winning the elections in Kenya.

odinga supportersThe results which came in said that Martha Karua of NARC KENYA got 8 votes, Mohamed Abduda Dida of ARK got 4 votes, Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi of AMANI got 4 votes, Paul Muite of SAFINA got 1 vote, Peter Kenneth of EAGLE got 17 votes, Raila Odinga of CORD won with 428 votes followed by Uhuru Kenyatta of JUBILEE got 386 votes.

Voting in Uganda took place at the Kenya High Commission and the Kenya results were announced by the presiding officer, Jackline.

Odinga supporters in Uganda celebrated the win of their candidate.

Despite the win, vote counting is currently taking place in Kenya and so far, Kenyatta is leading with a 54% win as opposed to Odinga’s 41%. It is not yet clear how the Kenya electoral commission is going to incorporate the votes of Kenyans in the diaspora who voted, or if they are going to be considered at all, or if they are being considered at this time.
