The High Court in Kampala has dismissed with costs the application by former Kyambogo University Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaiah Omollo Ndiege.
Ndiege had filed an application at the High Court seeking a review of the position of the University council that sent him away from the university.
While delivering his ruling on Monday morning , Justice Benjamin Kabiito ruled that Ndiege will have to meet the costs of his employer to whom he is free to return for consultation.
The Court said that Ndiege was not dismissed but was just sent on forced leave.
Ndiege was sent on forced leave by the university council in public interest during a meeting on October 31 at Hotel Africana in Kampala.
Among other things ,Ndiege was accused of undermining the internal auditor and accounting officer and ‘autocratic leadership which the staff at the university said had condemned for long.
