The dress collection of Princess Diana has been sold for $1 million in an auction which was carried out yesterday, Tuesday morning.

This dress sold more than any other during the auction.

The dresses were auctioned off at Kerry Taylor Auctions in Bermondsey, South-East London. In 1997, Princess Diana put up her dresses for auctioning for a charity after her son, Prince William convinced her to do it. The dresses did not sell but now, they are worth more than what they were at the time.

The dresses sold for $1,303,777.08 with the highest bid going toward that navy blue Victor Edelstein dress Princess Di danced in with John Travolta.

Princess Diana died in 1997 in a car crash in Paris.
