President Yoweri Museveni  has  congratulated  Kenya’s new president , Uhuru Kenyatta upon his victory.Kenyatta emerged winner of the 2013 Kenya Presidential race beating CORD’s Raila Odinga who was his closest rival.He was announced winner of the election on Saturday.

Many African heads of State have congratulated President Uhuru Kenyatta upon his victory.Some of them include ;President Paul Kagame of Rwanda,Jakaya Kikwete of Tanzania,Jacob Zuma of South Africa ,and the president of Somalia. The UN secretary General ,Ban Ki Moon also telephoned Uhuru Kenyatta and applauded Kenyan Citizens for going through the peaceful polls.

Your Excellency,

CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE

I am writing to congratulate you on the historic victory you achieved by winning the tightly contested Presidential election in Kenya. Ugandans and the NRM congratulate you.

We look forward to consolidating the brotherly relations between our two countries within the wider East African and the Great Lakes region.

We also congratulate the people of Kenya on holding such peaceful elections. Their conduct has redeemed the honour of Kenya and Africa.
