President Yoweri Museveni has assured Ugandans that security organs are today better equipped, more prepared and have the capacity to contain any wrong elements that threaten the peace and security of Ugandans.With this urges  leaders to mobilize the people into modern agro production to boost their incomes.

President Museveni was meeting a delegation of leaders from Acholi sub-region led by the Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Hillary Onek at his country home in Rwakitura.

Mr President urged the leaders from Acholi sub-region to sensitize the people to adopt the culture of creating wealth at house hold levels through modern commercial farming to boost household incomes.

“Help our people on the concept of wealth creation. Our people need attitude change, guide them”the president urged Mr President also discussed various development issues in the region.

The Acholi leaders told the president about the poor infrastructure and service delivery in the region and blamed him for what the region is going through.

The MPs told the president about the need of constructing a referral hospital in Agago and Padre districts saying that Agago and Padre are the only districts which do not have referral hospitals.

Mr president also promised to fulfill his pledge of supporting all the  science  students who qualified for university level in the region.

He also promised  to tarmac all roads in the region.He said that he will start with Kitgum-Lira and Gulu -Kitgum roads.

The meeting was attended by MPs,LCV chairpersons ,RDC’s and CAO’s .
