Police has cautioned the public to be careful when using special hire cars.

This was after police arrested a man who has been  disguising a as a soldier  and terrorizing special car hire operators in Nakulabye and neighboring  areas.

The OC Nakulabye Police station ,Musa Tomuzade told the press on Friday  that the suspect ,Frank Mugisha has been forcibly taking cars from other operators telling them that he is from Mbuya Barracks and free to use any vehicle he wants .It is suspected that he has been robbing people with other people’s cars.

It is also suspected that he has been stealing  other people’s special hire cars.

His arrest followed an incident were  he got a vehicle from one of his victims and police was tipped off in time .A police officer  laid a trap for him where he contacted him saying he wanted to buy a car from him .

He appeared with the stolen car and was arrested immediately .He will be charged with  car theft according to police .

OC Tomukunde has told the public to be vigilant when choosing to use special  hire cars.

He says that before one chooses to use a special car ,he or she should make sure that he gets the clear identity of the  person going to drive the car since there many thieves in this business .
