The president of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni says that NRM will have a caucus meeting on Monday the 11th March to discuss marriage and Divorce Bill which is under discussions in parliament.

Mr Museveni revealed this at the official celebrations of women’s Day held in Nabunyonyi play ground in Nakasongola district.

He said that the Bill has been in parliament for a long time because NRM has not had a cause to discuss the Bill.

“We are going to have a cause meeting on Monday purposely to discuss the Bill. The Bill has some important issues of which we need to handle with care” President Museveni noted

Else where Mr. Museveni told celebrants of the national women’s Day that according to NRM strategy men and women are all equal.

“Men and women are equal according to GOD’s books because there are both human beings. The holly books don’t say that women are behind men. In the eyes of GOD we are all equal although we do different jobs” He noted

It’s not correct to say that woman and men are not equal. We condemn it in NRM because we all have the same brains.

He also questioned whether women have different brains to men. “Women are better than men in other issues like carrying a baby for nine months”Mr Museveni added.
