The NRM Rebel MPs have threatened to sue the party’s Secretary General , Amama Mbabazi and the Vice chairperson, Moses Kigongo over the way the party has handled their alleged misconduct in the party .
The Rebel MPs including Wilfred Niwagaba (Ndorwa East), Theodore Ssekikubo (Lwemiyaga), Muhammad Nsereko (Kampala Central) and Barnabas Tinkasiimire (Buyaga West) accuse the party’s disciplinary committee of not being fair and transparent with the matter.
Although the NRM rebel MPs missed the disciplinary hearing on Monday, they cautioned the party that if its Disciplinary committee goes ahead to deliver a verdict without hearing their side of the story they will seek a legal action.
The MPs are accused of violating the NRM Code of Conduct, by constantly going against party positions. However ,they want the party to clarify the cases imposed on them such that they can easily consult their lawyers with clarity.
The MPs were summoned by the disciplinary committee on March 5, 2013.
