Northern Nigeria Car Bomb Explosions have left at least 44 people killed .

The blasts occurred at a inter-city bus station in Kano yesterday when three suspected suicide bombers came in a Volkswagen Golf car and rammed their vehicle into one of the buses parked there,ZEE News reports

An eyewitness said that  the explosions occurred mainly in an area called Sabon Gari when some commercial buses were filled with passengers and ready to commence their journey to the southern part of the country.

Kano police chief Musa Daura had said in a statement that at least 22 people had died, but the rescue official said there were  more than 40 deaths at least.

He said there were 21 bodies were at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital and 20 more at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, said rescue officials. They are also treating 41 and 3 injured respectively.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blasts
