Members of parliament say the country and entire East African region have  lost a very serious politician of who will not be replaced for quite a long time.

The minister of urban development Rosemary Najjemba described the late Eriya Kategaya as a great son of Africa.

Najemba said that Hon . Kategaya  has been on front line of EAC developmental issues. She added that  Kategaya  was a good politician who never clashed with other politicians on top of not being corrupt.

“The late Kategaya has been friendly, calm and I have never had him in any clash in politics. I have been interacting with him , he has been good all the time. We are going to miss him as NRM party because he has been available to serve the party in all circumstances. He has also been moving EAC Affairs maturely” The minister noted

“He has been exemplary and he has never involved in any corrupt scandal because he has been incorruptible,” She added

Mean while Nwoya district women MP Lilly Adong says that; Uganda is going to miss Kategaya dearly. “He has been a great leader who used to inspire others and he used to guide people most especially the young politicians. We are going to miss him because he was fit to replace Mr. Museveni as the president of this country”Hon Adong said

The body of the late Kategaya will arrive  at parliament  tomorrow at 10am o’clock for viewing and parliament will have a special seating to honor him at 2pm o’clock then after on Wednesday will be taken at Kololo air strip to be honored further.

On Thursday the 8th of March his  body will be taken at his home in Ntungamo district for burial.
