Kalungu West MP Joseph Sewungu has threatened to move a motion in parliament to stop KCCA boss Jennifer Musisi from collecting taxes from  UPE schools in Kampala.

Hon Sewungu told reporters at parliament that he has landed on Jennifer Musisi’s plot of collecting 10% from canteen, play grounds, Art and craft among others.

“Am going to raise this issue at the floor of parliament with an intention of blocking Musisi’s plans. She doesn’t have any justification under the law which allows her to tax schools”Hon Sewungu noted

“Musisi is a real thief. We shall battle her with her tax collectors if they try to come and collect tax from school canteens. You can not start taxing play grounds if you are not a thief” He added

He also said that, he has mobilized teachers to open a war against Jennifer Musisi if she insists on taxing schools in Kampala.
