Buganda’s Minister for information ,Charles Pater Mayiga has called for perseverance in the quest for Buganda’s concerns and programs.

The minister  was  speaking to a group of Old Students of MUMUSA High School Mityana in his office at Bulange, Mengo .

He observed that in order for the Kingdom to attain its former prestigious status, her people must be able to persevere to all the challenges ahead of them.

Mayiga further more called for more determination in imparting and promoting patriotism among Buganda’s youth to keep the Kingdom alive throughout the years. He noted that generations change and therefore each generation must be able to protect the Kingdom’s interests above other interests.

He urged leaders and the elderly to sensitize the youth about the truth in concerns who should in turn be able to associate themselves with the Kingdom and aggressively fight for these concerns.

Mayiga stressed the need for diligence and dedication in fighting for the Kingdom’s concerns where people should not be intimidated despite the several challenges in the struggle to fulfill Buganda’s needs and concerns.

The director of MUMUSA High School Mityana who is also the 1st deputy Mukwenda Joseph Kawuki in his message re-emphasized Kabaka’s message during his visit to the School early last year.
Kawuki said that Kaabaka was greatly impressed by the school’s developments which inspired them for more hard work to maintain the standard. He added that the school has managed to greatly improve becoming the 78th among the best schools in Uganda in the just concluded UACE examinations and taking the first spot in Mityana District. According to Kawuki, the school managed to have 28 studentswho obtained 15 and above points with the best student getting 25 points. The school which was started 10 years ago boosts of over 800 students.
