Mathew Nabwiso, The Hostel’s Gilo won at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).

Nabwiso won the award of Best Supporting Actress In A Drama, A Good Catholic Girl. He managed to beat Thomas Gumede, Osita Iheme, Fabian Adeoye Lojede and Kalu Ikeagwu who were also in the same category.

The AMVC awards were held Sunday 10th at Eko Hotel in Lagos. They were hosted by Big Brother Africa presenter, IK and former Zimbabwe BBA housemate, Vimbai Mutinhiri. Nabwiso was the only Ugandan nominated in the AMVCA.

While receiving the award, Matthew thanked his fans saying, “Friends and fans, thank you for taking the trouble to vote for me for the AMVCA awards.” Fiance, Eleanor Nansibo was excited about his win posting on Facebook, “aaahhhhhhhh exciiitteedddd…. it felt like a race…Thank God and all y’all who voted…. Mathew Nabwiso is bringing… the award.. home.. aaaaahhhhhh love you boo….”
