Kenya Election Results  for the 2013 presidential election are  expected in 48 Hours after voting ,according to Hassan Isaak  the  chairman of the country’s Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

“Within 48 hours, we will be able to see the clear leads through provisional results transmission relayed real time from the national tallying center. Official results will be announced after receipt and verification at the tallying centre in Bomas,”  Hassan Isaak said at a news briefing earlier.

Isaak said  though the law  gives the  Electoral commission a maximum of seven days to declare the winner of Kenya’s Presidential election ,they will not delay the declaration,The Daily Trust reports

He added that consideration will first be given to presidential results and then other post in which voters elected on Monday.

Voting is still going on  where Kenyans are choosing a president, members of parliament and senators, county governors and members of the newly-formed county assembly.

Eight candidates are standing  for presidency but the major battle is between  Prime Minister Raila Odinga and  Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta.
