The Inspector General of Police Maj Gen. Kale Kayihura has been involved in a car accident .

One of the police escort vehicles in his envoy was involved in  a head on collision with a trailer along Kampala Gulu Highway .

The incident occurred  at Matuga as the IGP was heading to Nakasongola to be part of the National  Women’s day celebrations .

By press time it was not yet clear whether the IGP was injured or hurt in any way.

Meanwhile the Women’s Day celebrations are on track and President Yoweri Museveni is expected to be the Guest of Honour.
