The Katikkiro of Buganda Kingdom , Eng. J.B. Walusimbi has challenged the youth under Uganda Young Democrats to use this association and bring about Development among themselves.

He made a call  during a meeting with a group of the Uganda Young Democrats the youth wing of the Democratic Party in his office at Bulange, Mengo on Tuesday afternoon.

Eng. Walusimbi observed that most of youth association in Uganda have not done much to develop them yet it should be their main agenda in a bid to fight poverty. He therefore urged the youth under UYD to put much more emphasis on initiating development projects that will help them through poverty.

Katikkiro noted that a lot is still desired to come from these young men and Women under the Democratic Party to hold the party flag high since it is one of the long serving parties Uganda has had.

The Vice Chairman of the Uganda Young Democrats Moses Bigirirwa promised to help the youth in Democratic Party into development and pledged to fight for Buganda’s main concerns through the different associations.

The UYD Secretary General Hakkim Kizza commended the Kingdom administration for the various programs that have been initiated in an effort to help the youth in different ways.

They contributed 360,000 towards the restoration of Kasubi tombs.
