Justice Constance Byamugisha has died just a few weeks after the death of his brother, the late Eriya Kategaya.

Justice Byamugisha, wife to Kampala lawyer, Dr Joseph Byamugisha died today, Thursday morning at 4:00am at Nakasero hospital.

Justice Constance Byamugisha died today.

Constance was suffering from breast cancer and succumbed to the disease Thursday morning.

“She passed on at around 4am after a short illness. When conditions deteriorated, we shifted her from Norvik Hospital along Bombo Road to Nakasero Hospital where he died. It’s a very trying moment for the Kategaya family,” a close family member said.

Constance was also the Deputy Chief Justice and Court of Appeal judge.

It is not clear if the death of her brother might have triggered the illness which later on killed her. Government is yet to react to her death.

Principal Judge Yorokamu Bamwine confirmed her death.
