The First Lady ,Janet Museveni has denied traveling to Israel according to what is presented in the auditor General’s report .
While appearing before the Parliamentary Accounts Committee PAC on Wednesday Janet Museveni said that she traveled to Israel once in September 2010 to look for a solution to water problems.
She stated that the allegations imposed on her are false adding that these allegations are falsehoods by those who seek to cover their own misdeeds.
“Why should lies be told yet we claim to be fighting corruption,” Mrs Museveni asked
Mrs Museveni has asked the auditor general’s team to be vigilant on proof of those who use issues for their own accountability.
The auditor general’s report indicates that Janet Museveni used 143.6 million shillings on overseas trips, including nine to Israel in one month.
