X-Men’s Magneto, Sir Ian McKellen is going to officiate the wedding of his rival in X-Men, Professior Charles Xavier, Sir Patrick Stewart.

Appearing on a chat show in Britain, McKellen, 73, said he would officiate Stewart’s wedding and his fiancé of four years, jazz singer Sunny Ozell, 34. The wedding is going to take place in Massachusetts. “I’m going to marry Patrick,” McKellen said on the Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday night.

McKellen said has officiated a wedding before and doesn’t need any special credential to officiate. “I am going to officiate at his wedding,” he said. “I read out the words, and Sunny and Patrick will then be married – I declare you man and wife,” he added.

Talking about what he will put on, McKellen talked about what he put on at the previous wedding saying, “Last time, I went with a sort of gown, white, something I bought in India – it was rather fetching. You musn’t upstage the bride.”

McKellen is returning as Magneto in “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” and Stewart will still be Professor X.
