Transport PS Eng Karanja Kibicho says  two helicopters manned by the Kenya Police will patrol the Northern Corridor — from Mombasa to Malaba to protect cargo.

A standby high level committee chaired by the PS has been formed to evaluate and make instant decisions that will ensure restoration of movement of goods within the shortest time possible.

“Sections known to be hot spots will be under surveillance by both regular and railway police specifically to forestall cases of railway uprooting,” said PS Kibicho.
