Gulu High School is set to be reopened this weekend , the District Education Officer has said
Rev. Vincent Oceng Ocen confirmed that each student will have to pay 60,000 shillings as a fine for the damages they caused in the school.
The school was closed on 12th March following the dismissal of the school cooks.
Rev. Oceng has condemned the students for holding the strike and stated that any student who fails to pay the fine will not be accepted back in Gulu High school.
Rev. Vincent Oceng Ocen also called on the students to have respect and discipline while at school.
During the strike, police from Gulu central Police station swung in and fired tear gas and the DEO-Rev. Oceng closed the school so that they carry out investigations.
