Former Busoga prime minister, Musumba Martin Mukasa has died.

Mr. Musumba was succeeded by Prof. Wasswa Balunywa in October 16, 2007 who was appointed by the Kyabazinga at the time, Henry Wako Muloki who cited  failure to develop the kingdom as the reason as to why he was replaced.

While explaining to the youth in Bugembe why the enthronement of the Kyabazinga had been called off, Mr. Musumba said, “The president expressed willingness to attend the Gabula. But given the current political wave, he is unable to grace the occasion but said he would give us a different date in the very near future.”

Burial arrangements are yet to be communicated.

The cause of death was not clearly stated although the kingdom said that he had been battling an illness for a long time.
