“We have have tried to avoid practicing illegal fishing but when the operatives begin to carry out their investigations, they don’t consult with the area leaders to help them spot out those who practice illegal fishing” one of the fishermen said
However, the head of operations Beach Management Unit Musa Kayondo said that they have no problem with the area leadership but they don’t want to work with them as far as fighting illegal fishing is concerned since they conspire with the culprits to promote it.
