First lady Janet Kataha  Museveni has today appeared before the Parliamentary Accounts Committee.The First lady arrived at the committee at around  10:00am .

The First lady  also Minister for Karamoja Affairs ,is expected to explain the allegations in the  auditor general’s report that she used 143.6 million shillings on overseas trips, including nine to Israel in one month.

It was also revealed that part of the foreign aid OPM received for northern Uganda and Karamoja was instead spent on buying luxurious vehicles for ministers in the department.

The First lady is expected to explain these allegations.By Press time ,the First  Lady was yet to start defending herself.

On Tuesday ,the Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi also appeared at the committee and took political responsibility.
