Eriya Kategaya ,the First Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda  and Minister of East African Affairs has been laid to rest  at his country home in Itojo  district.

The burial  followed a Thanksgiving Prayer Service at Kololo grounds on Wednesday .

Different government officials were present at the burial and the president was the chief mourner .

The burial was conducted by the Uganda Funeral services limited.The service began with prayers and later his body was laid to rest .

Kategaya passed away on Saturday from Nairobi Hospital at 7:30 pm.

He has been hailed by legislators as a good politician and a man good deeds.

He has also been praised as a true son of Africa who has been spearheading the development of East Africa.
