The body of the first Deputy Prime Minister, Eriya Kategaya has arrived in the country amidst mourning.
The body arrived at Entebbe airport at 9:45am in a hired helicopter. The plane was hired from a company known as SB Flying company.

Kategaya’s body was received by the Presidential Minister, Frank Tumwebaze. Others present at the airport at the arrival of the body were Gen. Aronda Nyakarima, Gen. Inspector of Police Kale Kayihura alonside relatives.
The national anthem was sung by the Uganda police and a parade was held in honor of the deceased. Uganda funeral service took the body to arrange it for tomorrow’s public viewing and Thursday’s burial thereafter.
Kategaya’s wife, Diana Karungi said her late husband for nine years before his death talked about family unity.
Eriya Kategaya died on Saturday morning at Nairobi hospital from deep vein thrombosis (DVT). His body was airlifted from Nairobi national mortuary and was seen off by presidential candidate, Uhuru Kenyatta.
