The body of the late First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs Rt. Hon.  Eriya Kategaya has arrived at parliament .

Right Hon. Kategaya’s body will lie in state at Parliament for legislators and the public to pay their last respects, before a special parliamentary sitting, which will commence at 2:00 p.m.

The body of the fallen Prime Minister was received by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament,Jacob Oulanyah ,the Minister for Gender ,John Nasasira ,The Minister for Agriculture Bright Rwamirama ,commissioner Jalia Bintu ,the Speaker of the East African Community Assembly .Margret Ziwa ,the Clerk to Parliament and other MPs.

The body was driven into parliament by Uganda Funeral Services Limited amidst tight security.

National prayers/Thanksgiving service  will be held at the Kololo Airstrip on Wednesday  before he is taken to his native home for burial.

The Late Kategaya will be buried in Ntungamo on Thursday 7th March 2013.The late Hon.Kategaya was born in 1945 in Itojo in the current Ntungamo district.
