The sister of the late Eriya Kategaya, Justice Constance Byamugisha has passed away.

Byamugisha was the acting Deputy Chief Justice. According to family members, she died after succumbing to breast cancer at Nakasero hospital today morning. “She passed on at around 4am after a short illness. When conditions deteriorated, we shifted her from Norvik Hospital along Bombo Road to Nakasero Hospital where he died. It’s a very trying moment for the Kategaya family,” said a close family member.

Constance was married to a Kampala lawyer, Dr Joseph Byamugisha.

Her death comes just a weeks after the death of her brother, Eriya Kategaya who died in Nairobi on March 2nd at Nairobi hospital.
