The minister for tourism and wildlife, Mariam Mutagamba has revealed that East Africa is destined to becoming a one stop tourism center in a bid to aggressively compete and attract tourists in the region.
Speaking after a global tourism exhibition in Germany capital Berlin where Uganda emerged the 5th best exhibitor out of the 54 exhibitors from the continent with 24 exhibitors, minister Mutagamba said the region is slated to have a single visa for tourists to enable them move all the regional member states as they tour different tourism centres.
She also added that they are considering developing and marking all tourism sites on Lake Victoria in a bid to enhance tourism on Uganda’s largest lake.
