DRC President Joseph Kabila came to Uganda on Saturday to meet President Museveni.The head of state discussed with the president issues concerning M23 rebels and also headed to Rwakitura to pay his last respects to the late Amos Kaguta .
Kabila carried a wreath from DRC and laid it on the grave of Mzee Kaguta according to the Special Presidential Assistant on Communications, Sarah Kagingo .
Kabila’s government is threatened by M23 rebels who have displaced and killed people in Eastern DRC since last year.On Sunday the rebels claimed that they have recaptured two towns in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
M23 military spokesman Colonel Vianney Kazarama they retook Kiwandja and Rutshuru “without any fighting.”
The announcement came two days after the Congolese Army took control of the towns in the North Kivu province for the first time in eight months.
