Dorcus Inzikuru ,Uganda’s World and Commonwealth Steeplechase Champion has been fired from the national team heading for the IAAF World Cross Country in Bydgoszcz ,Poland .
The event is slated for Sunday ,but the national team will go without Dorcus Nzikuru.
The athletics federation secretary ,Beatrice Ayiko says Nzikuru is not on the team because she did not turn up for the camp preparing for the event.Nzikuru’s fate is attributed to the injury she sustained in the 10km road run in Tripoli where she emerged the eighth.
Linnet Chebet has taken over Inzikuru’s position.
The junior women’s team will comprise of Shanice Chemutai, Stella Chesang, Rachael Hawks.While the senior women team will have
Chekwel, Rebecca Cheptegei, Janet Achola and Linnet Chebet.
