Deputy speaker for Gulu District Local Government, Rose Halima who was  last Thursday remanded to Gulu central Prison for allegedly stealing 5Million shillings will be brought to court today.

Halima was remanded by the Gulu Grade II Magistrate ,Saidi Barigye.

It is alleged that  in February this year , Halima allegedly stole the 5 Million shilling  from Samuel Pakinya, who was then her boyfriend.

She however denies the allegations .

This is the second time when the Gulu Deputy Speaker is being accused in less than a month.

Early this month, she was accused for allegedly stealing a party wear that belonged to the former Woman MP Contestant- Christine Atimango.

The matter is reported at Gulu central Police station under the case number AD REF: 76/23/02/2013.
