Eight people have been killed in a deadly car bomb in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu .
The dead included passengers in a minibus that was hit by the blast, AFP reports.
The attack is one of the bloodiest assaults in Mogadishu in recent months.
“We’ve counted at least eight dead so far. It was a car bomb attack near the National Theatre,” said police official Mohamed Duale.
“This is a disaster, there is smoke and dead bodies thrown all around,” a witness Hassan Salad is quoted as saying.
Ambulances are rushing the wounded to hospital.
No group has said it carried out the attack.
