Daniella Atim Mayaja, Jose Chameleone’s wife has allowed to pay the journalist she slapped for printing false news about her and her family.

Daniella was appearing before the Makindye magistrate, Flavia Nabakooza Kalungi. Magistrate Flavia gave Daniella, 28, an opportunity to try to settle the matter with the journalist in question, Isak Daniel Katender, 23, a resident of Bukoto Municipality, Nakawa division. Prosecution at first wanted the case to be tried immediately saying investigations were finished.

Daniella’s lawyer, Emmanuel Wamimbi and Daniella herself went and negotiated with the Dembe FM journalist, Katende. At the end, she had agreed to pay for the things she had damaged which included a rosary, a shirt, plus the money he used for treatment. The money in total amounted up to sh231, 500.

The agreement was reached upon in writing and Katende promised to stop talking about her on air and apologized to her.
