By Emmanuel Omona PaOkech

The speaker for the Laroo Division in Gulu district has threatened to kick out women councilors who attend council meetings with their babies.

Gift Oroma while chairing the meeting yesterday at the Laroo district headquarters in Gulu town warned that that if the vice does not stop then it will make the council meeting loose its meaning.

Oroma adds that all the councilors should come to attend the meeting and represent their people in the meeting.

Oroma also explained that the local Government pays councilors for attending council meetings which has been well organized without interruptions.

She said that she was afraid that that one day the council meeting will be turned into a baby Day care.

A few of the councilors after the meeting told Uganda Picks that the concern raised by the speaker was good.

They said that on several time some female councilors have been attending council meetings with their babies who make a lot of noise.
