Buganda Kingdom is set to publish its new reference book in a way of boosting its image and strengthening its tradition ,history and image.
A new reference book reflecting the rich history and culture of Buganda is titled “Baganda Doing Extra Ordinary Things Before and After Independence”.
The book will run under the theme “Revamping and Strengthening Omwoyo gwa Buganda Ogutafa”
Launching a public and fund awareness campaign about the book at Uganda Museum in Kitante, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya the Chairman of the Advisory Research Committee explained that the initiative is totally a cultural instrument set to lead people into better lives.
Bukenya recalled that this is the reference book will have chapters covering personalities who have caused a great impact to the society in Buganda before and after independence.
The project is estimated at 250 million Uganda shillings which requires combined efforts from all people in Buganda and in the diaspora to complete it by this year’s coronation anniversaries when it is expected to be launched by the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
