By Mirembe Martina

One person has been injured after a bomb exploded in a supermarket in Kenya.

The person who was not identified was rushed to Uhuru hospital to receive immediate medical help.

It is not clear who would have placed the bomb or what indeed led to the explosion. The explosion was minimal citing a small bomb.

The explosion comes just a few hours to the announcing of the next president of Kenya. Vote counting in the country is still going on and Uhuru Kenyatta is still leading with 2,771,097 votes as opposed to Raila Odinga’s 2,179,833 according to Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). However, the vote counting was put on a stand still after the machines being used for counting collapsed. Vote counting however resumed although polling agents are now counting manually.

According to the IEBC, the official presidential results for Kenya will be announced before the end of the day, 6th March 2013.

More details about the bomb explosion are yet to come your way.
