Blues singer, Jason Molina has died aged 39.
According to his label, Secretly Canadian, Molina died from natural causes.

Molina has been in the industry for more than 15 years. He died last week, Saturday at his home in Indianapolis. He was a Ohio native who between 1997 and 2009 put out several records under those names and his own.
Molina’s songs were known to be dark and personal. “Nashville Moon,” – “I’ve been on that road and it was darkness end to end,” Molina sings, “and I just headed for the dark again.”
Molina has been out of the public spotlight for a number of years due to health complications stemming from alcohol abuse. Musician and writer Henry H. Owings wrote this tribute to Molina on his blog, Chunklet saying, “Jason leaves behind him an enviable body of work that will be continually rediscovered because what Jason wrote wasn’t fashion. It was his heart. It was his love. It was his demons. And ultimately, it brought his life to an end.”
