British singer Adele and US R&B-Pop star Beyonce ‘have been selected’ to perform during America’s First Lady Michelle Obama 50th birthday party at the White House on Jan. 17 of next year.
‘America’s First Lady will be holding a huge celebrity-packed party for her birthday at the White House next year and, as she adores Adele and Beyonce, she has asked them both to sing,’ a source told Daily Mail
“Adele has graciously accepted and waived her usual fee for the high-profile private performance. She will sing a selection of her most-loved hits for the first lady and her friends ,a source added
Meanwhile it is not a surprise that Beyonce will appear at the First Lady’s birthday. Beyoncé and Michelle Obama are thought to be particularly close after the singer wrote an open birthday card to the first lady earlier this year for her 49th, saying;
“Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that [you] do for us… I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to.”
