Police in Mbarara have arrested 14 people on allegations that they murdered  one Yonah Kuribakanya 48, over utilization of community land.

The incident happened last week on Friday at around 4pm in Kyamugasha village Ruganda Sub County in Mbarara district.

According to Rwizi region police spokesperson Polly Namaye, the mob attacked the home of Kuribakanya destroyed his his property, beat him up and forced him to move a distance to the hill of Kinoni where they chopped off his head and took off.

Namaye said that police is now hunting for the whole village including chairman LCI Matayo Tumushabe also the Town Clerk of Kitwe town council .
