Youths in Kyaggwe County have camped at the Kyaggwe county headquarters and announced war after discovering that the remaining
Buganda kingdom’s land found in this county has also been grabbed by unknown people with the help of the district’s political leaders.

Angry youths have said that over 44 hectres of Buganda land on which the Kyaggwe headquarters sit in Gulu Mukono Central division have been
grabbed by unknown people with the help of the area LC 1 Chairperson Gulu A Muhammed Wasswa reaching the extent of dragging the Saza
Ssekiboobo to courts of law over land grabbing, leaving it with less than 5 hactres of land.

Led by the chairperson Buganda Youth Council- Kyaggwe county Kayiira Kizito Lwere, youths have therefore ordered the district officials with immediate effect to vacate the Buganda premises where, as per now the district office s are operating.

Youths have also declared  to destroy whatever has been established on the Buganda land found in Nalubabwe and Kiyoola and  have vowed  to
apply all means and deal with whoever steps on the headquarters land claiming for its ownership.

The minister for Youth in Buganda government Owekitibwa Florence Bagunya Nkalubo has requested the central government to begin taking
action as far as retuning Buganda’s property is concerned.

She has noted that there is increased unemployment among the youth in Buganda because most of the kingdom’s land which would have been used by the youth to develop themselves is still occupied by the central government.
